wordpress install.php?step=2 fails

The likely cause of the problem is that you are not really within the right path if the page looks as the first screen shot below then you are seeing the wrong path. http://domain-name.com/wpress/index.php?step=2

Simply change the URL to: http://domain-name.com/wpress/wp-admin/install.php then the page should look like below. If this is the case you are almost there. Just fill out the fields and hit install.
