SmarterStats 2008R2 IIS

We have several people reporting difficulty getting smarterstats to run on Windows 2008R2 server. We will try to help them since this procedure is not clear at
SmarterTools forum.
Install smarterstats then create the site in IIS and let it create its own dedicated pool. Make sure it is in classic mode and is running in 32 bit. If you are running SmarterStats version 6 then use v4.0,also set Process Orphaning to true.
Make sure that the pool is set to Network Service and that the permissions for Network Service have been added to the default path. C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools.
Do not bother to test it untill you have at least edited the advanced settings for the application pool. Make sure all fields are set as they are here if we are using SmarterStats 6 and above take your time and compare.
If you are still seeing an error and it is related to ISAPI then it is likely you need to set your global settings for the server ISAPI and CGI Restrictions.
